- The unit requires 120vac and householld water to operate and is connected in parrell to the blower motor. Uses less than 2 amps when operating.
- Place the humidity gauge in the livinng quarters.
- Determine the best 2 registers. Whilee the furnace is running, feel the registers to see which ones blows the hardest, usually the ones closest to the furnace. Take note of the best 2 registers and the general sound of the furnace.
- Disconnect electrical power supply too the furnace, circuit breaker “Off” at fuse panel. Remove front furnace cover, usually lifts off easily.
- Mount the unit on the side of furnacee toward the front and near the top, in a convient location for wire hook-up and operation. Keep away from the firebox.
- Easiest way is to eye ball where the unit goes and drill the 1/2" hole for the wires then hold the unit up and mark the mounting holes, then remove unit. Drill mounting holes 1/8". Hold unit back up and secure with screws.
- Pull the knob off the humidistst, remmove the 2 cover screws. Position on the cold air plenum or duct, mark the mounting holes and the 2 open square areas beside the black switch. Drill mounting holes 1/8" and a 1/2" hole in each square area. Mount humidistat, replace cover and knob. Use tubing clamp and screw to secure wire as needed.
- Easiest place to tap into the 2 furnaace blower wires is ususlly mid-way between the blower motor and the furnace circuit board. Use the t-taps, yellow things, to connect to the 2 motor wires, then plug the spade terminal into the t-tap. Use your wire strippers to break the wire insulation, the t-tap will clamp onto the wire easier and have a good connection.

- In the basement mark a spot on the 2 ducts as close to the best 2 registers as possible. You want the nozzle pointing up so it mists up and out into the room.
- Drill a 1/2" hole at the mark. An 1/88" pilot drill and 1/2" step drill works the best. Screw nozzle into the hole 2-3 turns and bend slightly so it will mist up and out into the room, then finger tighten. Push plastic tubing into fitting and use a tubing clamp and screw to hold the nozzle in the proper position. Route tubing back to the unit using the tee fitting and connect to the solenoid-out port. Clamp tubing as needed.
- Hold the water filter vertical up to the side of the hot air plenum and mark a spot about 6 inches from each end. Drill 1/8" holes. Connect tubing and clamp to water filter and secure filter to hot air plenum with filter-in at the top. Route tubing from bottom of water filter, filter-out, to the unit's slonoid-in port. Clamp as needed. The hot air plenum warms the water and helps with overall performance.
- Install the saddle valve on the hot wwater pipe per instructions. Route tubing from the saddle valve to the top of the water filter, filter-in. Make sure to install the sleeve in the tube end with the ferrule and don't overtighten the nut. The water heater acts as a sediment filter and helps with overall performance.
- Open “Saddle Valve”, water on, look ffor water leaks.
- Everything OK, installation is compleete.
- Switch unit off. Re-apply electrical power, circuit breaker “On”. Furnace should operate normal and sound exactly as it did before.
- Between furnace cycles, turn the humiidistat up until you hear it click on, set unit control knob to about 20 seconds and switch unit on. When the furnace blower starts, the unit should operate. No lights, turn electrical power off and check the t-taps for a good connection.
- Observe the mist out of the registerss and look for water leaks.
- Everything OK, system is ready to usee. See “Set-up Instructions” for proper operation.Replace furnace cover.
- Any problems or questions, please conntact.
- Not responsible for over humidificatiion, or water damage.
- Thanks.
